Hyaluronic acid (HA) has become somewhat of a buzz term, being seen in all the usual anti-age adverts and trending across social media, in the last couple of years. If there’s a hyaluronic product out there you can bet I’ve tried it and (as ever) have been disappointed by the off-the-shelf versions being sold as magical solutions for skin problems. Professional ranges (available through aesthetic and dermatology clinics) containing quality hyaluronic acid are highly effective, but usually sold at ridiculously high prices.

After hundreds of hours of research, testing and trialing on real clients, I am so excited by the final hyaluronic acid serum that I’ve produced and am determined that it’s going to be accessible to everyone for impressive, realistic skin hydration improvement. 100% of clients reported improvement in the appearance and texture of their skin.

This serum absorbs into your skin, holding moisture within the upper layers and with repeated use you will start to see those fine lines caused by long-term dehydration improve. This serum is suitable for every skin type, even for sensitive skin if the given directions are followed carefully. It can be used all over the face (including eye lids), neck, décolleté and body. Can improve healing of dry skin rashes as seen in eczema and dermatitis.

Unlike most alternatives, Fusion’s Hyaluronic Acid Serum:

  • has no added preservatives

  • has not been bulked out with other ingredients

  • has no unnecessary perfumes added

  • has not been made ‘on the cheap’ to be sold for ridiculously inflated prices

  • is not professing to be something it’s not.

This product will simply support your own skin to retain moisture, so improving its strength and condition over time. It’s designed to be used directly on the skin, under your moisturiser (highly recommended) and can be applied repeatedly throughout the day without clogging pores or making your skin feel heavy or hot. It will not interfere with the look of your make-up and doesn’t leave a residue on the skin, so no one needs to know that you’re wearing it.

Directions

  • After cleansing, apply a thin layer of HA serum directly to the skin and give it at least 30 seconds to absorb. Your skin should feel smooth once it has absorbed. It should not feel tacky or sticky – if it does you’ve applied too much

  • Pat (don't rub) on some moisturiser – This is an important step to hold the serum in the skin and avoid moisture evaporation

  • Apply your SPF product - the most important step in reducing the rate of ageing in the skin

  • Apply make-up as usual

  • If you don't wear make-up you can layer more thin applications of HA serum as and when you want, throughout the day

  • Suitable for use at night but don’t forget to protect the serum by using a night cream or moisturiser

Storage and Use by Date

Fusion's HA doesn't contain any preservatives so it's important to keep a note of the date you purchased it. Fresh batches are made on the first Sunday of each month in an environment that has been approved by the HSE. You should aim to use the full bottle within 3 months of purchase.

There's no hard rules for how to store your HA however cooler environments are most suitable. Not suitable for freezing. Whilst it's ideal keeping it in the fridge, if this means that you're not going to use it as much as you will if it's sat on the bathroom sink, choose the latter. I keep mine in the fridge and decant some into another bottle to carry with me, so that it's always at hand.
