Fusion Health, Beauty & Aesthetics

New Year... New Start

If nothing else 2020 proved Fusion's resilience in the face of constant change and challenges. I'm happy to leave 2020 behind and whilst taking down the Christmas decorations leaves the salon feeling bare, it marks the start of a fresh and exciting new year.

We want to send you a heartfelt thank you for your continued use of Fusion's services. Your visits not only support us but give us the incentive to continue building the business.

Wishing you good health and a happy new year.

See you soon.

Seeing what actually happens

in Fusion's treatments

This month's YouTube video gives you a peak at a typical cellulite and body contouring treatment using one of my go-to therapy devices - The G5. The treatment looks pretty intense at times but is actually hypnotically relaxing.

If you're committed to getting significant results I recommend a treatment package of six treatments (get your 6th treatment free when booking the package). You can choose from 20min or 40min treatment slots.

If you've not already checked it out search 'Fusion Southport' on YouTube (or just click on photo below), hit that subscribe button and give us a thumbs up.

Massage Corner -

Infra-red Therapy

Infra-red therapy is a light therapy that is used before/during a massage, or as a stand-alone treatment. Whilst, if you've ever experienced the treatment, you'll agree that it's warming, comforting and super relaxing, it's more than just a feel-good treatment.

Infra-red therapy is used for the following benefits:

  • It widens blood vessels, increasing the blood supply to areas and so promoting healing of muscles and skin

  • Increases the metabolic rate of your body's cells improving their functioning

  • Relieves muscle and joint aches and pain including arthritis

  • Relaxes muscle fibres therefore reducing muscle tension

  • Softens the skin

  • Stimulates oil glands, improving dry skin conditions

  • Increases your skin's ability to absorb products

  • Increases lymphatic flow so aiding detoxification

  • Softens hard fat allowing cellulite treatments to work more effectively

You can see why infra-red forms an integral part of all massages I perform.

If you'd like to sample an infra-red treatment for yourself, Fusion is offering 20min treatments for just £10 during the months of January to April 2021. Call, message or book online to arrange your treatment.

Covid-19 & Lockdown

[amendment 25th Feb 2021]

The UK Government was permitting us to continue operating even though Sefton had gone into tier 3, until we received the news of the National lockdown commencing 5th Jan 2021.

We have had to close the salon until further notice. We're hoping to be back open mid April and taking provisional bookings for 12th April onwards.

I want to reassure you that we take yours and our health very seriously and are doing everything realistically possible to maintain a safe place to visit for your hair, health & beauty services.

I can offer appointments when no one other than myself is in the salon therefore limiting your contact with others. Just get in touch if you have any special requests.

Skin Focus -

Winter-skin survival

Whether your skin type is dry, oily or combination you can bet that dehydration will be impacting the condition of your skin this winter.

Dehydrated skin is often confused with dry skin as both result in a dull, uneven complexion. Dry skin lacks natural skin oil whereas dehydrated skin lacks moisture (water). A dry skin type is not uncommon, however virtually everyone I see in the salon has some level of dehydration, and this increases significantly during the winter months due to central heating, using the heater in the car, increased drinking of hot tea and coffee (caffeine dehydrates the skin), and cold windy weather.

When your dehydration isn't addressed your skin then becomes weaker - lacking strength and elasticity, with greater sensitive, an increased the rate of skin ageing, and is more prone to outbreaks.

Prevention is better than Cure!

Get on top of dehydration by giving your skin some love each day. Change a few habits and see the difference in just a couple of weeks:

  • Try swapping every other cup of tea/coffee for a cup of hot water or herbal tea. Your skin will thank you and your mind will feel clearer

  • Use a water-based moisturiser

  • Use a good level of SPF protection (minimum SPF30) as UV rays are still affecting your skin's health even during dull winter months

I can help if your skin is significantly dehydrated and showing signs of dehydration (fine) lines, Fusion's galvanic facial therapy uses a series of applications that improves the strength and resilience of the skin, and energetically infuses moisture. This provides you with a good foundation to start maintaining your skin at home and allows your skin products to work more effectively.

Take advantage of Jan-Apr 2021 special offers and get your galvanic facial booked today.
